Playing Media on Your Wii. My Life is Now Complete
I now have the strongest arms I have ever had! Well at least I feel that way. About a year ago I was lucky enough to have one of my room-mates purchase a Nintendo Wii. We have been playing various titles here and there and recently tried out the new Olympics game! I dont think I have ever done so much arm cardio in my life! I mean sure, I have lifted weights and done a lot of running. (I actually go to a University in Texas for Track and Field.) This game, however, put into perspective the state of my arm muscles! As much fun as these games are, I ran into some problems because I couldnt play my personal music and movies on my Wii. I thought I just had to accept the fact that it was purely for games, until I finally found a way.
Not all games are strenuous like Olympics for the Wii however, some are mostly based on simple motions of your arms. I have seen my parents and many other adults enjoy the bowling and tennis games which can be fun for the whole family! I pretty much use our Wii for all my entertainment these days, because using one system for all entertainment saves a lot of time and money.
One of the problems I came across that came along with the wii was the lack of media playing such as my own music or dvds. We pretty much replaced our xbox 360 and ps3 with the gaming aspects of the Wii but still had to switch back to them to play our music and dvds. It was frusterating because we played those old systems so little we didnt even have batteries anymore in the controllers! Therefore, every time we played a dvd we had to switch batteries back to the ps3 to play the DVD.
I thought I should try to find out if there was an easier way to put my songs and movies from my computer onto my Wii. Luckily my search didnt take too long! I found a product that helped me out and I had my entire list of songs and tv shows I stored on my computer sitting in my Wii! This was called WiiMedia. Now I just click and point to my favorite songs and movies stored in my Wii! How did they know that was exactly what I needed? Were they reading my diaries??
So as you can see, we are in entertainment heaven these days. We play all our games, movies and music on one system. All our guests question how I did it, but I never tell them. I guess I just like having the best products and toys.. (I am pretty competitive). Not everything is easy though... My arms are still extremely sore.
